2. Providing this website

When you visit this website, technical connection data is transmitted to our hosting provider. This includes your IP address, date and time, requested files, browser and operating system information and, where applicable, the referring page. This processing enables us to deliver the website and maintain its stability and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure operation of our website.

Data is retained only for as long as required for its purpose or by statutory retention obligations. For information about data stored in connection with your visit, please contact us using the details above.

3. Contact and accommodation enquiries

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your contact details and enquiry so that we can reply. Enquiries about a stay and the handling of bookings are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in replying to your message. Data is deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations or other lawful retention purposes apply.

4. Online booking with DIRS21

We use DIRS21 by TourOnline AG, Borsigstraße 26, 73249 Wernau, Germany, for availability checks and online bookings. The booking system is loaded only after you explicitly activate it in the booking window. Connection data, including your IP address and browser information, is then transmitted to the provider and the services it uses to operate its booking system. The tool may use its own browser storage, fonts and other resources.

Activation is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where non-essential access to your device takes place, section 25(1) of the German TDDDG. We process the data needed to handle your booking enquiry and fulfil the accommodation contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Statutory retention obligations continue to apply.

When you book, the information requested during the booking process is processed, such as your name, contact details, stay dates, room selection and, where applicable, payment details. TourOnline describes itself as a separate controller for its online booking tool. The “Deactivate booking system” button in the booking window reloads this page without the booking system. This stops further loading by this website but cannot undo data already transmitted. You can remove browser data already stored by the provider through your browser settings. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

5. Local content and external links

The website itself does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Photos, the logo and styling are served from our own webspace; external webfonts and maps are not loaded automatically. Links to maps and other websites connect to those providers only when clicked. The separately activated DIRS21 booking system is also subject to the information in section 4.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The authority responsible for private businesses in Bavaria is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
